Some reasons for choosing the above spread include:
- Frame variety, e.g. portrait and landscape varying sizes, angles and perspectives
- Opportunity for games, e.g. ‘chose the appropriate key shape’ (See Bottom Picture)
- Educational Opportunity:
- Geography (e.g. London, flying crows, surrounding waters and shipping port).
- Architecture (e.g. Tower of London).
- Cultural History (e.g. Tailor and other shop fronts, currency and clothing).
- Music and dance (students can learn about the different instruments). pictured, listen
to the music and view dance animation).
- Variety of characters featured

THE FINAL DOCUMENT!

After 12 weeks of gruelling research and design our project has come to an end. Below are some shots of our final design document.

STYLE OVERHAUL - FINAL PRESENTATION

We realised our current visual style (a yellow pallet, triangles and origami) was not working. To appeal to the 20-34 year old demographic we needed something a little more edgy. Still keeping in line with the bee concept we kept the yellow and added black to our colour pallet. We began changing our style with our final presentation, making it more clean cut. We will take this approach further with the design of our final design document.
In the final presentation featured below, you can also see how we’ve started to represent our research findings. Moving away from playing with origami and honey representations, we have decided to go with clean cut graphs, which we feel communicate our findings far more clearly.

DOCUMENT DESIGN EXPLORATION

We have begun designing the final design document experimenting with the notion of construction through the use of triangles and origami. Origami will be used to illustrate our research findings. Here we are experimenting with different folds, and how me may integrate the use of origami into the design document. From these trials it is apparent that the success of this approach will be highly dependent on good quality photography.
